The Obama town hall in Portsmouth is under­way. The pres­i­dent wrapped up his remarks to the cheers of “YES WE CAN!” from the fair and bal­anced audi­ence.
The crowd cheered Obama’s claims that the porku­lus is work­ing.
Obama asserted that “nearly 56 mil­lion” Amer­i­cans are unin­sured — ratch­et­ing up the fuzzy math.
He praised “vig­or­ous debate” and crit­i­cizes “wild mis­rep­re­sen­ta­tions,” which the stacked crowd applauded wildly.
He derided “spe­cial inter­ests” — except for the drug com­pa­nies fund­ing ads for Oba­macare, of course.
He attacked fear-mongerers, then warned of pre­mi­ums ris­ing, Medicare going bank­rupt & peo­ple get­ting sick with­out his “reform.”
