Did Noah’s Flood Cover the Himalayan Mountains?

Comments Off

Through the centuries, few Christians questioned this doctrine. The Bible said it, and that was enough—until the late 1700s that is. For the first time the globe was being explored—the extremely lofty Himalayan Mountains were surveyed, capped by Mt. Everest at 29,035 feet in elevation. Did the waters cover them? Is there enough water on the planet to do so? The questions seemed so far-fetched that many European churchmen dismissed the idea that the Flood was global, adopting the local flood concept which still dominates Christian colleges and seminaries today. Like dominos, other doctrines soon began to fall—the young age for the earth, the special creation of plants and animals, and the inerrancy of Scripture.

Homosexual Bigots New Target for Hate: Michele Bachmann

Comments Off

The Scriptures make it unambiguously clear that change in sexual orientation is possible. “…[M]en who practice homosexuality…will not inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (emphasis mine) ~ 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.

The Green Nazi Deep Ecology

That modern environmentalism has swept in behind the collapse of classic western philosophy and the fading of the Judeo-Christian worldview is thus no accident.  It is part and parcel of the whole post-modern outlook that denies any transcendental truth or God that exists independent and outside of the natural world.

Sarah Palin imagined God talking to her in an email she wrote before her fifth child, Trig.

Comments Off

Then, I let Trig’s mom have an exceptionally comfortable pregnancy so she could enjoy every minute of it, and I even seemed to rush it along so she could wait until near the end to surprise you with the news – that way Piper wouldn’t have so long to wait and count down so many days – just like Christmastime when you have to wait, impatiently, for that special day to finally open your gift? (Or the way the Palins look forward to birthday celebrations that go on for three, four days… you all really like cake .) I know you, I knew you’d be better off with just a short time to wait!

Then, finally, I let Trig’s mom and dad find out before he was born that this little boy will truly be a GIFT. They were told in early tests that Trig may provide more challenges, and more joy, than what they ever may have imagined or ever asked for. At first the news seemed unreal and sad and confusing . But I gave Trig’ s mom and dad lots of time to think about it because they needed lots of time to understand that everything will be OK, in fact, everything will be great, because I only want the best for you!

Liberal vs Conservative: A Spiritual Battle

Comments Off

Without beating around the bush, I believe the battle being fought in America today goes beyond politics; right vs. left. It is a spiritual battle; good vs evil.

The large number of Christians in the Tea Party believe in right and wrong. The left has a huge problem with the concept of right and wrong. Their religion of liberalism embraces Moral Relativism.
For these reasons, Palin and Tea Party are as repulsive to liberals as showing Dracula the cross.

Is it racist to criticize Islam?

It is a common diversion among Muslims and Muslim apologists to intimidate those critical of Islam with the accusation of “racist”. It is a ploy to manipulate shame which amounts to verbal extortion to shut someone up.

The UN and One World Worship

Comments Off

That is because the coupling of the worship of an Earth Goddess with pseudo religious Marxist dialectics results in the perfect rationale for actualizing a redistributionist “religion.” The Marxist concept of an international, unified brotherhood and new world order is now united with a pantheistic religion perfectly suited to redistributionist ends on the bases of core pantheistic beliefs.

We can expect that rationale to be articulated and to play out, within the UN and elsewhere, as follows:

The divine Mother Earth’s treasures are limited and distributed unequally. Therefore, her resources should be divided equally to all by a new UN priesthood which divines, follows, interprets, and enforces the eleven commandments of Pachamama/Gaia.

Rev. Obama’s Revival Meeting

Comments Off

“In an electrifying moment, the president revealed that Giffords, who … was shot point-blank in the head, opened her eyes for the first time shortly after his hospital visit[.]” Obama’s comment was obliquely suggestive of Jesus saying, “Talitha koum!” (That means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”)

Like a faith healer working the crowd with stirring images, Obama painted a picture of his presence in a room stimulating a response from a woman in a coma. The crowd and the nation was so taken by the whole affair that in one sentence, Obama went up in the polls, sent tingles up the leg of pundits on both the right and the left, probably settled the Arizona lawsuit, and quelled any further opposition to health care reform.

What if the Bible Really Is True? (Part 2)

Comments Off

If I had to single out one thing that played the greatest role in initially convincing me of the Bible’s authenticity and the truth of Christianity, I’d choose the Old Testament prophecies, especially those concerning the Messiah. The specificity of some of the individual prophecies is powerfully probative, but the odds against so many of them being fulfilled in the person of Christ by coincidence are utterly breathtaking.

The Devil Can Cite Scripture For His Purpose

Comments Off

It’s the Christmas season, so godless liberals are citing the Bible to demand the redistribution of income by government force. Didn’t Jesus say, “Blessed are the Health and Human Services bureaucrats, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”?

So, What if the Bible Really Is True?

Comments Off

I’d like to challenge you to consider that the “good news” we celebrate during the Christmas season really is true.

You may choose to believe the Bible is merely a book of fables with nice moral lessons, but there is more abundant and accurate manuscript evidence for the New Testament than any other book from antiquity. Moreover, the number of witnesses to Christ’s life, death and resurrection, as well as the nature of their testimony, is strong evidence of the reliability of the scriptural accounts, as are the corroborating secular testimony and archeological evidence.

In fact, the New Testament writers had every temporal motive to deny the resurrection occurred. Why would they fabricate and stand by a story that would lead to their being beaten, tortured and murdered?

So next time you read your Bible, consider that you’re reading the inspired word of God and that Jesus really did say and do what the Bible reports, beginning with His claims about His own divinity:
