Agenda 21: A Global Economic Disaster in the Making

Comments Off

While we all would like to assure natural resources are properly preserved for current and future generations, the U.N.’s prescriptions require that nations accept their definitions of “sustainable” and their recommendations for how to accomplish their goals. And it is all simply naked communism.

Let me repeat that, “sustainability” is codeword for communism.

Defeating Obama With the Debt Ceiling

Comments Off

As someone who had virtually everything in his life handed to him — and who made it nearly to the age of fifty living in isolated realms (Hawaii prep schools, Ivy League universities, Chicago Democratic politics) where he’d never have to even speak to, let alone deal seriously with, a genuine conservative — he’s not someone used to dealing with those who disagree with his premises.

“Uncontrolled search and seizure is one of the first and most effective weapons in the arsenal of every arbitrary government…Among deprivations of rights, none is so effective in cowing a population, crushing the spirit of the individual and putting terror in every heart.”– Justice Robert Jackson, chief U.S. prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials

Obama’s Marxist Immersion Shows in Presser

In a higher phase of communist society, after the enslaving subordination of the individual to the division of labor, and therewith also the antithesis between mental and physical labor, has vanished; after labor has become not only a means of life but life’s prime want; after the productive forces have also increased with the all-around development of the individual, and all the springs of co-operative wealth flow more abundantly-only then can the narrow horizon of bourgeois right be crossed in its entirety and society inscribe on its banners: From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs!”

A government with not enough to do, but lots of hungry mouths to feed

Our military just killed bin Laden, who was a real threat to our society, but all the while we have been hunting him, our domestic army — the bureaucracy — has been waging a guerilla war against us. Today it’s Granny and her doctor, tomorrow it will be you.

Patriotic Stirrings in the Real America

Comments Off

Out here in the real America, patriotism supersedes socioeconomics. Furthermore, “when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design” antithetical to American freedom, “it is their right, it is their duty,” to become active in the civic realm — and to set things right. Those children in Independence Day parades — all across the “red” and “purple” states of the USA — certainly deserve no less.

Ready for the government to regulate the interstate commerce in your stomach?

Will asked them a question to test if they thought there is any significant limitation on congressional power under the Commerce Clause:

WILL: … Let me ask the three of you. Obviously, obesity and its costs affect interstate commerce. Does Congress have the constitutional power to require obese people to sign up for Weight Watchers? If not, why not?

Obama, The Man Who Would Be King

Comments Off

America is in a constitutional crisis. A sitting president consistently exercises power not granted to him by the U.S. Constitution, and he does so capriciously, defying the attempts of other branches — given the responsibility to check the executive branch — to restrain his excess. The banks, the manufacturing sector, the health care sector, and now the energy sector are all under the de facto control of this determined and brazen individual. But while U.S. government involvement in the private sector is alarming — even New Deal power-seizures were rolled back by legislators elected to repudiate the expansionist vision of President Roosevelt — abuse of war-making authority is another matter entirely. The man who makes war without the approval of elected legislators is no longer a president, but a king.

“And what do Democrats stand for, if they are so ready to defame concerned citizens as the ‘mob’ – a word betraying a Marie Antoinette delusion of superiority to ordinary mortals. I thought my party was populist, attentive to the needs and wishes of those outside the power structure. And as a product of the 1960s, I thought the Democratic party was passionately committed to freedom of thought and speech.” – Camille Anna Paglia

Class Warfare – The Philosophies of Illegal Immigration

Comments Off

Even to talk of illegal immigration earns slurs. I can attest to that. It is the most self-censored topic in America today, where we construct artificial worlds of rhetoric that in no way resemble reality (e.g., try to suggest that California’s current problems with 30,000 to 40,000 too many prison inmates, or spiraling entitlement costs, or test scores right below Mississippi’s, or gang-related crime have something to do with the entry over two decades of millions of illegal aliens, and then see whether that proposition is discussed or slurred in ad hominem fashion).

Class conflict – The Obama Way

Comments Off

Class conflict is a term long-used mostly by socialists, communists, and many anarchists, who define a class by its relationship to the means of production–such as factories, land, and machinery. From this point of view, the social control of production and labour is a contest between classes, and the division of these resources necessarily involves conflict and inflicts harm.

Senate Spectacle Thumbs Nose at Immigration Law

“It sends a signal that one of the top law enforcement officials in the country is clearly on their side and ignoring the rule of law,” said Bob Dane, spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

“It’s one of the most profound and outrageous juxtapositions we have ever seen in a public hearing,” Dane said.

“If ever there was a doubt which side of the law this administration is on, this visual graphic told the full story,” Dane said.

EPIC v. DHS Lawsuit — FOIA’d Documents Raise New Questions About Body Scanner Radiation Risks

Comments Off

One document set reveals that even after TSA employees identified cancer clusters possibly linked to radiation exposure, the agency failed to issue employees dosimeters – safety devices that could assess the level of radiation exposure. Another document indicates that the DHS mischaracterized the findings of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, stating that NIST “affirmed the safety” of full body scanners. The documents obtained by EPIC reveal that NIST disputed that characterization and stated that the Institute did not, in fact, test the devices.
