Obama, Hitler, And Exploding The Biggest Lie In History

Working for personal ends instead of the collective was as criminal in Nazi Germany as Soviet Russia. Norman Thomas, quadrennial Socialist Party presidential candidate, saw the correlation clearly, “both the communist and fascist revolutions definitely abolished laissez-faire capitalism in favor of one or another kind and degree of state capitalism. . . In no way was Hitler the tool of big business. He was its lenient master. So was Mussolini except that he was weaker.”

The More We’re Connected, the Less We’re Connected

Human beings are overwhelming themselves with connectivity, unable to keep pace with the increased number of self-ascribed obligations that come with constant accessibility. In essence, presumably with no harm intended, people are finding it physically impossible to follow-up on an excess of incidental commitments.

THE SUN NEVER SETS ON THE BRITISH WELFARE SYSTEM

Like the British riot girls interviewed by the BBC, the Democrats tell us “all of this happened because of the rich people.”

Needless Things

I live down the street from several of these inner-city arts centers set up to teach poor kids dance, art and music education, all of them run by guilt-stricken trust fund babies who want to “give back.” Their idea of giving back is to teach traditional capoeira Angola to inner city kids.
Of course, what inner city kids really need is for a trade unionist to “give back” and take them on as apprentices and teach them practical skills, especially since the city’s public schools won’t. (Public schools likewise like to teach the “visual and performing arts.” It’s so much more fun than, say, fractions.) What these poor kids do not need to learn is how to make esoteric conceptual art. How is that going to help them end the cycle of poverty? Even if they became artists or musicians they will still be dirt poor.

Education that Corrupts

Comments Off

Many of today’s K-12 and university classrooms serve as laboratories in which instructors breed minds poor in knowledge and logic but rich in political correctness. Morally bankrupt values like “tolerance” and “diversity” are recurring themes.

Scout’s honor

Many organizations that celebrate “duty to God and country”—words from the Scout oath—have either fallen on hard times or have abandoned such values. The Girl Scouts, for example, no longer requires members to believe in God, and it allows openly gay leaders.

Rethinking Education

Comments Off

(1) The cost to taxpayers and to parents seems to have no rational limit when the mantra “investing in our children” is recited. As a consequence, in many states — California is a perfect example — education is consuming almost everything in sight. It is not simply the first priority, but almost the only priority. Government expenditures for roads, parks, libraries, water and sanitation services, police and prisons, and fire protection serve the general welfare……

Cultural Marxism in Education: The Gathering Revolt

Comments Off

For decades now, American schools corrupted by cultural Marxism have been eroding the moral fiber and judgment skills of schoolchildren. Unless sensible parents and teachers put a stop to the indoctrination, today’s free speech-crippling political correctness, tolerance of immorality, and lack of knowledge of our country’s birth will continue to grow until America is no more. To stop the indoctrination, parents and teachers must understand how cultural Marxism came to permeate school curricula.

Organizing Kids for Obama

These interns will be given an intensive nine-week training course using comprehensive lesson plans. Assigned readings include Stir It Up: Lessons from Community Organizing and Advocacy by the left-wing activist Rinku Sen, Saul Alinsky’s notorious Rules for Radicals and particular sections of Obama’s Dreams From My Father dealing with Obama’s days as a community organizer in Chicago.

Republican students will be filtered out of the intern program by requiring applicants to answer questions that reveal their politics. One example is, “What one issue facing our country is important to you and why?”

Geller said the purpose of this training to become Alinsky-style community organizers, is “of course, to elect more Democrats.” The internship program is specifically geared to get the kids working in the 2010 elections.

Feds: Deport homeschoolers who could face persecution

hs
ICE sought application of the Konrad case in the European Court of Human Rights that “the public education laws of Germany do not violate basic human rights.” The ruling elaborated that parents had no right to direct the education of their own children because that was a responsibility of the state.

“In other words, it appears that ICE is arguing that U.S. judges should follow international law – rather than U.S. law,” the HSLDA said in an alert.

“American judges should use American law alone in making decisions about cases in American courts,” said Michael Smith, president of the HSLDA. “Polls show that Americans by an overwhelming margin reject the idea of using international law in American courts to decide American cases. The use of international law in American courts is a threat to American justice and should be opposed.”

ICE argued that the U.S. government simply could ban all homeschooling – and that should disqualify the granting of asylum.

Texas schoolbooks to reflect a more balanced worldview

It’s a pleasure these Obamaton days to highlight the advancement of Liberty. As government spirals out of control, the assault on Freedom clouds life, but on Friday a bit of sunshine broke through. The Texas Board of Education voted overwhelmingly to change what children read, adding balance to curriculum-guiding text-books.

American Christians and Moral Relativism

Comments Off

If there is no Truth and only opinion, then there are no answers to be found. But then why ask questions? It is like setting out with ship and sail in search of treasure while convinced that no treasure exists.

Let us be blunt: It is simply not possible to espouse relativism — which holds that right and wrong are opinion — and be a true Christian.

Modern Liberalism’s Hidden Religious Foundations

Could modern “godless” liberalism really have any religious origins? The actual genesis of “new liberalism” would surprise many leftists, should they ever deign to study its true origins. Given that many leftists assume modern liberalism is synonymous with atheism, intriguing it is to note this movement owes its very essence to religious antecedents. In fact, new liberalism could not exist without concepts borrowed from the Bible and ancient pagan Gnosticism, which form its skeleton.

For this very reason, critics contend liberalism, socialism and Marxism are all fraudulent attempts to create a heaven without God, or a Christianity sans Christ. This curious disjunct may explain why the development and application of leftism is synonymous with the greatest economic blunders and human rights disasters in recorded human history
