On the Intellectual Inferiority of Liberalism

Today the “liberal” faith requires an extraordinary act of ignorance, purposeful forgetting, and constant spinning. To be a faithful “liberal” today you have to forget the whole 20th century, and its 100 million victims of the radical left — that is, victims of Obama’s brand of leftism. You have to shut out of your mind the fact that Obama hails from today’s Chicago Machine, the most storied and undemocratic political machine since Boss Tweed.

You have to ignore the bloody history of black nationalism in America, where Obama’s hero Malcolm X was assassinated by the followers of Elijah Muhammed. You have to ignore the racial blackmail that has controlled American politics since the rise of the post-MLK “civil rights” movement, when all the heroic actions of a few civil rights campaigners like Martin Luther King, Jr., was taken over by dangerous racial demagogues like Rev. Al, the Rev. Wright and the radical left.

Does Obama Have Any Idea Why New Deal Failed?

Why did Roosevelt’s New Deal fail so miserably? The larger problem is that federal spending can’t create jobs. It merely transfers wealth from taxpayers to central planners. But worse than that, most of FDR’s New Deal was driven by politics. It was economically unsound.

Actually, the world war didn’t really get us out of the depression, it just hid the depression while we waged war. The depression really ended when government spending decreased from $106 billion in 1945 to $36 billion in 1947.

The Democrats Big Lie

The liberals have fully absorbed the lessons taught by their ideological progenitors, the Nazi socialists and Soviet communists. They understand that the big lie, if endlessly repeated, is extremely effective. Its purpose is to establish in the minds of the target audience an automatic stimulus-response connection, a Pavlovian conditioned reflex: capitalist = fat cat; George Bush = moron; Sarah Palin = idiot; Barack Obama = genius, any Kennedy = gift to mankind, etc. Ask the liberal spouting any of the above for proof that, say, Sarah Palin is an idiot or Barack Obama an intellectual giant, and the answer would be a puzzled stare — why, everyone knows that she is a moron and he a towering intellect, so it must be true. Just repeat your slogan often enough, and once embedded in the minds of the people the mantra becomes reality for them. So effective is this technique that the left has made the former Alaska governor unelectable in the view of independents and even many conservatives, in effect dictating the available choices for the conservatives.

Did Noah’s Flood Cover the Himalayan Mountains?

Through the centuries, few Christians questioned this doctrine. The Bible said it, and that was enough—until the late 1700s that is. For the first time the globe was being explored—the extremely lofty Himalayan Mountains were surveyed, capped by Mt. Everest at 29,035 feet in elevation. Did the waters cover them? Is there enough water on the planet to do so? The questions seemed so far-fetched that many European churchmen dismissed the idea that the Flood was global, adopting the local flood concept which still dominates Christian colleges and seminaries today. Like dominos, other doctrines soon began to fall—the young age for the earth, the special creation of plants and animals, and the inerrancy of Scripture.

Isn’t the Southern Poverty Law Center the Real Hate Group?

What is the SPLC’s criteria for such extreme charges? It claims that the groups in question (which include the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America) knowingly disseminate false information and demonizing propaganda about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people, as documented by them (I use the word “documented” lightly) in their report “10 Anti-Gay Myths Debunked,” published late last year.

Needless Things

I live down the street from several of these inner-city arts centers set up to teach poor kids dance, art and music education, all of them run by guilt-stricken trust fund babies who want to “give back.” Their idea of giving back is to teach traditional capoeira Angola to inner city kids.
Of course, what inner city kids really need is for a trade unionist to “give back” and take them on as apprentices and teach them practical skills, especially since the city’s public schools won’t. (Public schools likewise like to teach the “visual and performing arts.” It’s so much more fun than, say, fractions.) What these poor kids do not need to learn is how to make esoteric conceptual art. How is that going to help them end the cycle of poverty? Even if they became artists or musicians they will still be dirt poor.

Patriotic Stirrings in the Real America

Out here in the real America, patriotism supersedes socioeconomics. Furthermore, “when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design” antithetical to American freedom, “it is their right, it is their duty,” to become active in the civic realm — and to set things right. Those children in Independence Day parades — all across the “red” and “purple” states of the USA — certainly deserve no less.

This kind of cultural destruction has been part and parcel of Islam since its inception. According to Dr. Bill Warner, founder of the Center for the Study of Political Islam, “Political Islam has annihilated every culture it has invaded or immigrated to by destroying the host culture.”
Dr. Warner cites the extinction of a once-Christian Middle East, Turkey, and North Africa, and a Zoroastrian Persia, as a result of Islamic jihad. He also includes the decimation of Hindus and Buddhists as well. All told, he totals more than 270 million “nonbelievers,” including Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Africans, and Jews, who have died in Islamic massacres since the birth of Islam 1400 years ago.

The Education of a Compassionate Conservative

Indeed, the “compassion” card is the Holy Grail to a progressive Democrat. It’s a philosophical ace in the hole that has allowed Democrats to rhetorically smother and intimidate Republicans for generations. It’s an idea, as Ronald Reagan should have known, more formidable than the Soviet military. It’s the reason a socialist like Barack Obama was swept into office in America a mere twenty years after communism was “defeated.” It’s the reason why Whittaker Chambers argued that for Communists, “the sense of moral superiority … [allows them] to berate their opponents with withering self-righteousness.”
